On The Move Therapy & Wellness ยท Dr. Reece Maranda, DPT
Before we talk, here's who you'll be talking to, and how to make the most of our call.
Stiffness isn't aging.
It's undertraining. And that's absolutely fixable.
Before our call
Before our call, watch this โ and if you've got a spouse or partner who'd want a say in this, watch it together. It's three minutes, and it'll make our conversation a lot more useful.
Who you're talking to
Most players in their 50s and 60s get handed the same two options: rest and hope it gets better, or grind through generic exercises that have nothing to do with how pickleball actually moves. Neither one works. And neither one is good enough.
On The Move exists because you deserve better than that. I built this practice around one idea: the root cause is always the answer. A weak hip, a mobility gap, a body that was never built for the lateral load and sudden stops this sport demands, find it, fix it, build around it.
The players who stay on the court into their 70s and 80s aren't lucky. They're prepared. That's exactly what we build together.
"My body is just breaking down from age."
Your body is underprepared. Not broken.
"I just need to rest and it'll get better."
Rest calms symptoms. Strength builds resilience.
"Playing more is the problem."
Preparing less is.
What our call will look like
I'll ask you what's going on, the soreness, the flare-ups, the patterns you've noticed, and what you're hoping to get back to on the court. You'll leave knowing what I think is actually causing it and whether it's something I can help with.
And if it's not a fit, I'll tell you. This isn't a sales call. There's nothing to brace for.
Client Win ยท Tim Koons-McGee ยท 68 ยท Sarasota, FL
Tim came to Reece with a hamstring injury that wouldn't heal and a movement foundation that wasn't built for the demands of competitive pickleball. He wasn't just dealing with pain, he was losing ground on the court.
After two months with On The Move, Tim medaled at the Cape Coral Open and the USSP Regional Championships at PicklePlex Punta Gorda.
He didn't just get healthy. He became a better, faster, more complete player. That's the difference between managing symptoms and building real capacity.
"My game has changed so dramatically. I get to balls my buddies are like, you would never have gotten to that ball before."

Hey! Played 2 hrs of PB last night and did NOT get the burning in neck/upper back!!! WIN!!! ๐
Played 6 games in 90 degree heat. My knee didn't hurt once.
I am playing so much better all due to moving better!!!!! It is such a drastically big difference!!!!! Let's gooooo
Great news. Played tonight. No problems or reinjury. It felt good to be out there.
We even won a few games ๐
My husband said I did really well and I said it's all because of Reece!
The last 2 times I played I have that sensation in my knees like they're going to hurt, but they never did.
I can't remember the last time I took a pain reliever. Woot!
Hey Reece? I am happy to report I woke up in no pain! I laid in bed, just relishing the fact that nothing hurt. Even my shoulder felt good. I couldn't believe it.
During my morning ritual I had to play "I'm So Excited" by Whitney Houston. Because that's just how I felt! ๐คฉ
Knees and legs in general are feeling great. I can really feel the difference.
I work a retail job, usually after a few hours on my feet I need to sit. Last night I really felt good. Not tired.
Achilles is already feeling better. Played 90 minutes today with no pain, swelling and almost no tenderness.
Pretty good for just over a week though!
This has been a great week. played pickleball three times and stuck to my eating plan. I would give myself a 10. Something I never do.
I am so grateful I said yes to working with you.
Thx Dr. Reece, we played pickleball last night, and I did both my warm-ups and my cool downs. Trying to be a good patient ๐
Reece. You are the Best!!!!!!!

"He more than anything has changed the trajectory of my pickleball career."
My hamstring issue is completely gone. My game has changed so dramatically, I get to balls my buddies are like, "You would never have gotten to that ball before." Court positioning. Movement. All of it. I cannot say enough wonderful things. Great guy. Great program. Well worth it.

"Playing pain-free. That's huge."
The post-game soreness that used to hit a 5 or 6 out of 10 is now maybe a 2, and then it fades to almost nothing. Dr. Reece understands pickleball. He plays. I feel understood, supported, and never rushed.

"The youngster in me has been awakened."
After only 5 sessions, my knees are much more flexible, my shoulder pain has lessened considerably, and I can do movements I couldn't do before, like jumping! I love how I feel. I am so glad I am doing this.

"I actually felt STRONG on the court today."
I was able to move quickly and more efficiently. I no longer have the fear that an injury will stop me from enjoying pickleball. All activities, pickleball, biking, hiking, roller skating, have improved. I'm 64 and I plan to play for many years to come.

"I saw immediate positive strides, and kept playing pickleball."
Dealing with significant elbow pain, Reece showed me how to correctly do each exercise and kept following up to make sure things were moving in the right direction. Very thankful for Reece and his genuine care.

"I'm building truly healthy habits I could never do on my own."
I'm completely shocked by how much stronger I feel in just a few weeks. I genuinely love our sessions, I historically hated the gym, but I look forward to every session with Reece. I have more stamina, more balance, and I can get up from the floor so much easier.

"For the first time in a year, I can play without thinking about my legs."
I'm a 50+ guy playing pickleball who kept getting re-injured, story of the last 2 years. No regrets partnering with Reece. What I needed was a highly customized program. Each week, we update exercises based on my feedback. Reece is about as real and genuine as it gets.

"Exceeded my expectations in terms of how far I've come in only 8 weeks."
I was blown away by improving my plank time by 200%! I also find that I can move laterally more smoothly and confidently, I can get to balls far to my right and left more successfully. My body feels better during and after play because I now consistently warm up properly.

"Both are doing great, I'm able to play golf and pickleball with no soreness."
Reece has been great to work with from day one. Even before I signed up he was sending me exercises that helped immediately. I have knee soreness and shoulder issues that we've been able to work on. Any questions or concerns I have, he responded quickly. He's always checking in on my progress. I highly recommend to anyone dealing with aches and pains after playing sports or PICKLEBALL.

"He gave me a program that adjusted a lot of problems to the point where I never feel the pain anymore."
I had serious hip and leg pain. I would stretch and wear special footwear, but it wasn't solving the underlying issue. I'd taken PT before but couldn't justify the cost again, until a consultation convinced me it was worth diving in. Reece helped me see things holistically. I highly recommend the company, Reece really listens and works with clients to make sure they feel normal and strong.

"I'm fully recovered and owe it all to him. Folks, he's worth every penny!"
I pulled my calf playing PB twice in one month and that's when I found Reece. I thought resting an injury was the norm, but it was the exact opposite! He starts with a thorough evaluation, not just the injury but other weaknesses. He customized my recovery plan via the Everfit app, made immediate adjustments when something hurt, and sent tips on sleep, nutrition, and hydration. He truly cares about his clients.

If we're a fit, here's what comes after
We go deep, strength gaps, mobility limitations, movement patterns, how it all works together. This is where we find the actual root cause, not just the symptom that brought you here. Done over Zoom, more thorough than most in-person visits.
Daily workouts in the Everfit app, messaging access, and regular reviews, with a program that evolves as you do. The goal isn't to get you through 12 weeks. It's to build something that lasts well into your 70s, 80s, and beyond.
What working together actually looks like
Before
Knees flare up after every session. You wake up stiff, skip a day or two, feel better, play again, and it repeats. Every week the same.
After
You know exactly how to prepare your body. The flare-ups stop. You play more, and recover faster between sessions. Ask Carol: "I no longer have the fear."
Before
You're moving cautiously on court. Hesitating on lateral reaches. Protecting the sore spot instead of playing your game.
After
You get to balls your partners can't. You move with intention. The fear of getting hurt stops running in the background. Tim's partners noticed first.
Before
You feel like you're losing a step. Speed and power aren't showing up the way they used to. Pain reliever has become part of the routine.
After
B.H.: "I can't remember the last time I took a pain reliever." Candy: "The youngster in me has been awakened." At 72, with two knee replacements.
Before
You've tried physical therapy, YouTube exercises, and just resting. Nothing sticks because nothing was built for how pickleball actually moves.
After
A program built entirely around your body, your game, and your goals. Reviewed and updated every week. Never generic. Pat called it "more thorough than most in-person visits."
Is this the right fit?
I work best with players who are committed to staying on the court long-term. This section helps you know exactly where you stand.
โ This is for you
๐ซ This is not for you
Before we talk
Most PT doesn't stick because it was never built for you, generic sheets, a few visits, then you're on your own. This is the opposite: a plan built around your assessment, adjusted every week, with messaging access so you're never guessing. Consistency is the product.
No. Everything is built around your assessment, your specific weaknesses, your movement patterns, your game. Pat got a plan built around his shoulder, his schedule, and his sport. Candy's program looked nothing like Tim's. That's the point.
Not at all. I work with pickleball players virtually across the country. Your assessment is done over Zoom, and as Pat said, it was "more thorough than most in-person visits." Daily workouts, coaching videos, and messaging access through the Everfit app make staying consistent easy from anywhere.
That's exactly what the call is for. We're not selling you anything on that call. We're figuring out if this is actually the right fit, for you and for me. Come with your questions. Leave with clarity.
Tim started at 68. Candy started at 72 with two knee replacements and two shoulder repairs. Age isn't the barrier, underprepared tissue is. And that's absolutely something we can work with.
Add the call to your calendar, and jot down the two or three things you most want to figure out.
That's all you need to bring.
